Acclaimed vocalist Diane Sweet brings her ensemble to Zinc for a special night of standards and original compositions with pianist Roberta Piket, bassist Greg Novick and drummer Victor Jones
Born and raised in New York City, Diane Sweet is a performer living in Manhattan. Diane has performed in Paris and London, and has toured Northern Italy as a vocalist. She has been compared to the likes of Sarah Vaughn, Billy Holliday and Sade. Whether performing with her own ensemble or as a featured vocalist, her sound is at once charismatic, vulnerable, and sensual.
She’s got the classic looks, the incredible singing voice, and a repertoire that includes American classics ranging from traditional Jazz and blues, to soulful interpretations of the music of Jimmy Hendrix and Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as her own compositions. She has performed with world-class musicians at numerous venues in New York including: Zinc Bar Jazz Club, Smoke Jazz Lounge, Showman’s, The Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, Smalls, and Tavern on the Green to name a few.
